Here is my questionaire for my pal so she/he can learn more about me :D I'm an easy person to shop for but here ya go!
1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you? nope, any kind of yarn is good to me except mohair, i am not fond of mohair
2. Do you spin? Crochet? I do not spin but am hoping to take a drop spindle class in November and yes i do crochet (basic stuff, just learned about 4/5 months ago)
3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.) no allergies
4. How long have you been knitting? 1 year and 3 months
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? I do not have this
6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.) i like flower smells, no fruits.
7. Do you have a sweet tooth? omg yes but please not too much, lol. I am trying to control myself with my sweets. lol
8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? i do like to use my sewing machine occasionally (would use more if i knew how to read them patterns from walmart! lol)
9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) i love R&B music like mariah carey, omarion, ciara, akon........those kinds. i also love kelly clarkson (she's pop music i think? she is awesome though) my computer plays mp3s but my car don't, it can play cd-r's though
10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? i am not really picky but do mostly like brights and multi-colored yarn.
11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? i got 2 kids, 5 yr old and 2 1/2 yr old and no pets and i got a hubby! lol.
12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know) i wouldl ike to get my masters in something in college, lol. i would really like to be an ultrasound technician but will have to wait a while to go to school since i got my young'ns.
13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? I really don't have a favorite since I mostly just work with acrylic and did work with a couple novelty yarns but that is it.
14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? mohair is not that great, it sheds too much and is itchy to me.
15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s? dishcloths, potholders, i love looking at patterns for bags/purses and also odds and ends type patterns (ex: couch potato caddy)
16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? dishcloths and potholders
17. What are you knitting right now? i shawl going for my mom, a kitchen towel for a swap and a sock for me (yep only 1 so far, lol) i am crocheting the couch potato caddy, a scarf for my daughter.
18. What do you think about ponchos? they are cute for kids
19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? circulars but would use straights if i didn't have the right size for a project. lol.
20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? don't matter to me!
21. Are you a sock knitter? not really, i started a sock for me and i keep putting it off cuz it is taking too long (hmmmmmm, i wonder why that is)
22. How did you learn to knit? i bought a "teach yourself how to knit" kit @ walmart
23. How old is your oldest UFO? a month
24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird? i love puppy dogs
25. What is your favorite holiday? the same as most..........christmas! :P
26. Is there anything that you collect? yep, dust.............ooooooooh wait, :P actually no there isn't besides patterns waiting to be done
27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? none :O
28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on? there's 2 actually that i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT! they are called "200 crochet squares" (that's most of the title) and the "crochet stitch bible"
29. Any patterns you have been coveting, but haven't bought for one reason or another?? the 365 stitches of the year knitting companion is one that i have wanted since i started knitting.
ETA: 30. What are your foot measurements, and what kind of socks do you like? ummm, i wear a 7 1/2 in womens and i like any socks.
