Progress on Anouk

and so far so good. I'm a little slow on it but it's going good. This is what I have as of 4-19-06. I'm making it for a friend of mines daughter who is about 6 months old.

gift from hubby

my hubby bought me this gorgeous basket of flowers yesterday. it was the first time i got flowers from him in FOREVER. for some reason he thought i didn't like flowers when i ACTUALLY said i didn't want to get roses all the time. (i think he has selective hearing)

they smell so good too!

I gave the kid the afghan and.......

he was really shocked.........when i knocked on the door, he looked through the window and you could see his eye light up when he saw the blanket sticking out of the bag............when he opened the door he was hiding behind it so he musta been in his boxers, lol. he was just like "woooooooooooow, cool! that took you a really long time" lol. but you could tell he really liked it and i am glad that i still gave it to him (hubby was trying to convince me to keep it) . i promised him that i'd make him one and i didn't want to let him down like i'm sure he is sometimes.

my work is done.............lol.

now on to the next afghan for a family member, either my brothers or my mom or my grandma...hmmmmmmm. tough decision.

Afghan complete! yay

here is the afghan that i've been working on, i finally finished it. i did it in half double crochet (my favorite simple stitch, lol) I would say it's about 4 feet long and 3 1/2 feet wide. I am going to drop it off at my friends house later today so I'm hoping the kid I made it for appreciates it (he's different than his brothers) and likes it. He liked the colors when i showed him the yarn before I started it. I think it looks really cute, my hubby was sulking when he learned that I was still gonna give it away, lol. I told him that I have the rest of my life to be making these.

cell phone case

i made this with no pattern so it looks kinda amateurish but hey i like it. i wanted something so that i didn't have to stick my cellphone in my purse and have to dig for it everytime. i love the color, it's actually a little bit more deeper colored but i love it.

Update on needle exchange

never heard from my buddy so was unable to give her my new address to send packet but thats fine...............i am sending my partners stuff quite late due to the move but hopefully she likes her packet.
