getting tendonitis, that is. yep, i found out today when i went to the dr so that i can get workman's comp. i'm typing with one hand since my right hand is in a splint. i gotta use my left hand for the mouse too. i say i'm starting early cuz i'm not even 25 yet. good thing i write lefthanded.
i'll have to put knitting aside for a couple days but i'm gonna see if i can crochet tomorrow since i dont like not doing anything when sitting. i dont think i use my right hand much when crocheting but we'll see.
i did finish the dog sweater, gave it to mil and she said her dog loves it and that she even went outside willingly. yay. gotta do the other dogs sweater when my wrist can handle it. will post pic as soon as i get it.
well this is hard to do with one hand so will be back soon!

weekend went by fast!
wow, I can't believe its monday already, it took forever for the weekend to get here and it couldn't wait to be over it seems. my family and I are all feeling better. My kids did get their antibiotics so they've been taking those like they're supposed to.
While I was sick over the weekend I read Janet Evanovich's Plum Series and oh man are they good! I read up to book number 6 then had to go to the library on Sunday to get books 7-10! I was feening for a book on Saturday night when I had finished book 6 earlier in the day. I came home from the library with 15 books (yikes, think I overdid it? lol) so i got the other books for the series (minus books 11 and 12) and got some other books by her, Nora Roberts and some other authors. As you can tell I LOVE to read! I am still working on trying to read and knit at the same time but is hard for me to do without a prop for my book (which I plan to buy soon).
I started reading book 7 yesterday when I got home from the library but got back to work on Sissy's sweater (mils dog) since I told her that I'd get it done in 2 weeks. I am finishing up the back and then have to do the other leg then the collar and seam up (I think). After I'm done with Sissy's sweater I gotta make one for her brother Tinker. He's gonna be getting a blue one in the same design.

Got to the lys today
finally.............I feel bad that I went today knowing that I was sick but it was my only chance if I wanted to go anytime soon. hubby came home from work early cuz he wasn't feeling good either so I just went ahead and went to the yarn shop. Does it count if I kept my mouth hidden in my coat and didn't breathe much in the store? I did have a blast though browsing through the store. I had the 25 dollar gift certificate from my in-laws with me so I used that.
What I got was:
Cascade 220 dark bluish with little specks of colors in it skein for 6.75
Malabrigo Velvet Grapes color skein for 10.50 it is kettle dyed pure merino wool (SO SOFT!)
3 Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora balls that are like a baby bluish color but faded like for 2.25 each (70% off sale! How can you beat that??)
This all came up to 24 dollars! I left with a buck on me, whoo hoo! Do I know how to shop or what?
I got the malabrigo cuz it is so soft and I honestly wouldn't have been able to buy it if I was spending my own 25 (maybe in the future when I'm more financially stabilized) and I got it in the color that is outside of my normal hues (blue, green, pink) but the colors are very nice. it's like a "mature" kind of color I guess (which I can be on occasions, lol)
Now I just gotta figure out what I want to make, lol. I am pretty sure that I'll use the cascade to make myself a hat but that's all I know.

update on dr visit
well we went to the dr today and both my kids have ear infections. jae has double ear infections and cj just has one ear. they both still have the nasty cough so we got medicine for that. i took my prescription to walgreens to have it filled before having to pick hubby up from work and i called them 2 hours later and he still hadn't filled it cuz he had to call the office to talk to them about it and then he called back like 20 minutes later saying the office was closed! so now i gotta take hubby to work again tomorrow so that i can get the kids antibiotics in the morning instead of waiting till hubby got home, ugh. it frustrates me cuz i dropped that prescription off at 4 and he waited till 6:30 to bother with it. he told us that we could pay for it and be reimbursed for it tomorrow and my hubby asked how much it'd be and he said over 100 dollars. gee, lemme get my wallet that's busting at the seams full of money. the kids also got flu shots today since they didn't have a fever so we gotta keep them away from sick people for 2 weeks. poor things. they did get burger king and kitkat today so they were happy about that. they sleeping peacefully in their bed right now, thank god.
no knitting got done today due to being at the dr for 2 hours and then doing the nap thing and the getting hubby thing. i'm also getting sicker too. i feel it all in my nasal area, yay (not)

strange question, don't read if you are easily offended
so that it's not out in the open, i will put the post in pink so you have to highlight it to see it :)
would you rather be the nozzle or the bag of the douche? my hubby says the nozzle does all the work. the reason i ask this is because when my hubby annoys me i call him a douchebag and he corrects me with "douchenozzle"
so what do you say? leave a comment to let me know! :P

going to the dr
yep, you read right..............my kids are still trying to get better and daddy and i are sick now. i just have a sore throat and sound sexy on the phone (lol) but my daughter was complaining of her ear hurting yesterday so we're going to the dr to make sure she doesn't have an ear infection and get antibiotics if she does. both kids are coughing alot and it sounds gross, poor things.
i haven't been knitting too much due to work and the kids being sick. i did work on my mil's dog's sweater yesterday, it's coming along nicely. i may take it with me to the dr office but doubt it since i got 2 sick kids so gotta block them from other people so they don't spread their sickness around.

Started off with a BANG!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Well, our new years did not go as planned at all! We planned on just having a nice quiet time having drinks while the kids slept. I ended up having stomach problems which affected my drinking (only got to drink maybe 5 sips) and my son was already sick but we had given him nyquil to knock his butt out which did! but my daughter ended up getting sick just like him, ugh. She kept getting up and coming to us saying she didn't want to cough anymore and just so sad. We gave her nyquil to help and she slept till about 1 am then hubby went downstairs with her and they slept on the couch watching tv. Hubby and I rang in to the new year debating on whether or not "guapo" meant handsome or ugly so of course we did a google search and i was right, it means handsome. lol. my daughter is laying in my bed watching tv and not being the happy-go-lucky girl that she normally is. poor thing. she asked me if we were going to help her get better, lol. too cute huh? my son is up acting normal but just got a running nose like there ain't no tomorrow, yuk.
No knitting will be done today, I have to decide whether I want to read, knit or play a game today and I've decided on reading because it's getting to a good part. Then I end the first day of the year working tonight, darnit. oh well, money for yarn i guess. :)
Happy new year everyone and I hope you have a good year!
