yarn i purchased that is NOT ACRYLIC :O  

this is the first set of yarn that i purchased that was not acrylic, aren't they purdy?? they both got mohair and are combined with either rayon or cotton.

i got this yarn (it looks like cotton yarn) today and it's all made up like a fish net but i have begun untying it because i just fell in love with the color?

who all thinks i'm nuts for this? lol. am i true yarn a holic now?

how long do you think it'll take me? 2 months? 5 months? 1 year?

i think it'll take me at least 5 months since i will be busy with my kids and volunteering obligations but i bet it'll be worth it in the end

Dang Hat!

i did this hat over two times (picture of 2nd try at hat) and i pulled my needles out cuz i seen that i dropped a stitch a few rows down! ugh, i do good when i'm on the circular needles but when it is time to transfer to dpns thatis when i mess up. i know that practice makes perfect but it sure is FRUSTRATING! i am tryin to make a floppy brim hat, notice i say TRYIN. lol. i don't want to frog this one completely as i did the first time i made an error but it is put aside for now till i have the patience to backtrack to the error.

update on hubby's blanket

i received a comment asking how his blanket was going so i figured i'd update..........i haven't been working on it too much but i am about 1/4 of the way in to the first skein being used out of 3.

i been working on the red sweaters when i had time and now i'm working on a floppy brim hat and it's gettin nice out so the kids are wanting to be out more. since my son is only 2, i have to be up and about near him so in case he hurts himself or something.

ok picture's dark and this bag is in use but you can see the basics.....i made this bag into a drawstring kind of bag so that the ball does not escape and i made a buttonhole on the bottom of the bag so that the yarn could go through there (i just got a sewing machine so getting all creative over here) but like the first bag, it doesn't work with hand-wound balls. so i definitely need a ball winder now! lol.

ok i admit it doesn't look like much but i made this bag so that i could tie it around my wrist so that my yarn ball does not roll away while in use. However, I learned that it doesn't work quite well with hand-wound yarn balls but it'll work with skeins and using a ball winder.

I didn't realize the pictures were coming out kind of dark but you can kind of see that i'm trying to play around with different stitch patterns. the sweater on the needle is being done with knit 2, purl 2 and i think it's coming out quite cute.

I've made 3 sweaters and have 1 on the needles. I am planning to make 10 total before I send them out to the lady who coordinates this event.
